To see and do

Wander around on your own – or take a
guided tour and learn about the history of
the ironworks. See the mighty blast furnace
building, forges and coal houses.
In the mill, flour was milled for the needs
of the entire local area. In the carpentry
museum machines and tools are intact
and in the small school museum there are
memories from the schools belonging to
the ironworks. In the old steam sawmill by
the river you will find an interesting forest
museum.
Relax for a while in the café and enjoy
the beautiful surroundings.
Every year Walpurgis Night and
Midsummer are celebrated in the
traditional way. Strömsberg Day takes
place in August and a Christmas market
is organized in November.
Just outside the village you will find the
”Nostalgimuseum”, an impressive private
collection of old gadgets, motor vehicles
and bicycles, a must for lovers of objects
from days gone by.
